Tempered Glass

Tempered glass is to heat cut-to-size glass on the modern horizontal roller type furnace and then rapidly cool down. This rapid cooling induces compressive stresses to the glass surface while the center remains in tension. Although the physical characteristics remain unchanged, the additional stresses created within the glass increase its strength.
They must not be cut or worked. Any work on the glass will affected its properties and may result in breakage; therefore, all works on the glass must be done before tempering.

The intensity of tempered glass is 3-5 times of ordinary glass. Once it is destroyed by external force, it will become pellets, which will reduce human body injury. And the tempered glass can bear the greater temperature changes.
